‘WE BOTH LAUGHED IN PLEASURE’
Commissioned by Art 'Otel Shoreditch, my documentary and photo series spotlighted transmasculine communities in New York and London. The project premiered with an exhibition featuring six portraits of historic genderqueer figures and short-form videos projected throughout the venue. Partnering with For Them binders showcased my ability to integrate meaningful brand collaborations, amplifying the work’s reach and impact.

EXHIBITED WORKS
I helped design a website where you can find out more information on the film, the exhibited photographs below and about the project in general. A QR code for this website was printed on the wall at both screenings to ensure easy access.

‘For Them’ brand collaboration
In the film we meet Kylo Freeman, a British trans man living in NYC who is the CEO of gender affirming underwear brand ‘For Them’. I wanted to partner with Kylo and his brand to show a joyful, successful trans person who is directly serving his community. For Them provided chest binders for the cast in the film and Kylo shared his brand ethos during his interview in the film.
ART ‘OTEL, HOXTON
The documentary premiered at a solo exhibition held at Art 'Otel London sponsored by Hoxton liquor, accompanied by six original portrait photographs taken during filming. Each portrait represented a different transmasc or genderqueer figure from history, spotlighting individuals who are often overlooked.
SHOREDITCH ARTS CLUB
Following the exhibition, Shoreditch Arts Club London commissioned the work for a private screening attended by selected guests and industry insiders sponsored by MarGin Dry Gin. Additionally, I was invited by the Arts Club to create short-form video content, which was projected on large-scale screens throughout the venue during the event, bringing these stories to life in a new, immersive format.
